The Oklahoma City Thunder are a professional basketball team and a member of the National Basketball Association. The Thunder was originally founded in 1967 as the Seattle SuperSonics. In 2008 the team relocated to Oklahoma City and became the Thunder. The only professional team in Oklahoma, the Thunder currently compete in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference.
