Battles

Battles is an experimental rock group from New York City that was founded in 2002. Honing its layered instrumental style during its formative years, the group would release a number of EPs before dropping its debut full length album, Mirrored, in 2007. Though the band's vocalist left in 2010, Battles didn't lose stride and has continued to release well-received studio material--including 2011's critically lauded Gloss Drop--in addition to building a strong reputation for itself as an engaging and physical live band.
