About
The British alternative rock troupe Band of Skulls is a three-piece outfit that was formed in 2008. Lead vocalist and guitarist Russell Marsden, bassist Emma Richardson and drummer Matt Hayward quickly captured an audience around London with their bluesy, garage-rock instrumentation set to macabre, attention-grabbing vocals. After releasing its debut album Baby Darling Doll Face Honey, in 2009, Band of Skulls reached independent music fans in the US at the 2010 South by Southwest Festival and its subsequent tour of the Midwest. The band's follow-up album Sweet Sour, was released in 2012.
