Formally known as Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü, this is one of Turkey's most successful clubs with a rich footballing pedigree and heritage that very few clubs in Europe can rival. Founded in 1907, this illustrious club has twenty-eight Turkish championships to its name, which is the highest tally in the country's history. Fenerbahçe's bright yellow and purple jersey have been worn by highly-acclaimed footballers such as Robin Van Persie, Roberto Carlos, and Zeki Rıza Sporel, who also happens to be the club's all-time record goalscorer.
