About
The Christian metalcore band August Burns Red is primarily known for its heavy breakdowns, odd-meter riffs and memorable live shows. The band formed in 2003 in Manheim, PA while most of its members were still seniors in high school. After playing a succession of local shows, August Burns Red was signed to CI Records and released its debut EP Look Fragile After All, before signing with the Solid State label. Throughout the band's four studio albums, including its 2011 effort Leveler, its been known for mixing its metalcore music with other genres such as progressive and thrash metal.
