Constantly experimenting with various styles and sounds in an attempt to avoid being pigeonholed by a genre tag, Washington, D.C.-based musician Eva Moolchan, who performs and releases music as Sneaks, has managed to avoid categorization with her forward thinking music. Releasing her debut album, Gymnastics, in 2014, the collection of songs, oftentimes witty or chanted spoken word vocals over a bed of drum machine beats and sparse bass accompaniments, helped establish Moolchan as an interesting force on the modern Washington, D.C. music scene.
