About
Formed by brothers Henry and Lewis de Jong, Alien Weaponry is a metal band from Waipu, which began its career in 2010. It is known to be one of the few bands that have won the national finals of both Smokefreerockquest and Smokefree Pacifica Beats. The band’s debut EP called The Zego Sessions was released in 2014. A lot of their tracks are sung in Māori language as an ode to the ancestry of the band members. Tracks like "Urutaa" and "Kai Tangata" were played a lot on the radio and was tremendously loved by the listeners.
