Tessa Violet is a singer/songwriter who initially gained fame as a YouTuber and vlogger before launching her music career. Initially beginning daily vlogging in 2007 for a school project, in 2009 she won $100,000 in a YouTube competition by receiving the most comments on a video post of hers. Violet released her debut album, Maybe Trapped Mostly Troubled, in 2014 and the collection of pop-centric tunes helped establish her as a crossover tallent from the YouTube community.
