LHC Les Lions is a French ice hockey team that represents Lyon in the top men's division of the French ice hockey pyramid - the Ligue Magnus. Although the team was officially founded in 1997, it traces its origins to as far back as 1898. Its success early in its career helped the team finish third in the top tier as well as qualify for Europe's Continental Cup in 1999. The Lions play their home fixtures at the Patinoire Charlemagne.
