FC Barcelona, commonly referred to as Barca, is a Spanish football team and a member of La Liga. Since it was founded in 1899, Barcelona has won every major trophy, which is why it is considered to be one of the best football teams in the world. Apart from its main team, Barcelona is also known for its world class academy - La Masia. Lionel Messi, Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta and Carles Puyol are some of the graduates of La Masia. Barca is owned by 170,000 club members who are able to vote on key issues regarding the team. Barca plays its home matches at Camp Nou.
