CB Gran Canaria is known as Herbalife Gran Canaria for sponsorship reasons and forms part of the Asociación de Clubes de Baloncesto (ACB) basketball league in Spain. In 2016, the team won their first title championship, the Copa del Rey, after beating the venerable FC Barcelona team, in a major upset. Since 2014 the team has played home games at the Gran Canaria Arena.
