Club Joventut de Badalona is a professional basketball club that competes in the Liga ACB. Based in Badalona, they play their fixtures at the Pavelló Olímpic which is its home arena. Founded in 1930, it is known affectionately as “La Penya” and claims to be one of the few clubs to have never been demoted to the lower tiers of Spanish basketball. It is a highly decorated club and boasts numerous trophies which include multiple Spanish League and Spanish Cup titles. In European competitions as well it has shown its prowess and has claimed the EuroLeague, EuroCup Basketball, FIBA Saporta Cup and the FIBA Korać Cup. Basketball stars such as Christian Eyenga, Rudy Fernández and Ricky Rubio have featured in this squad.
