David DiChiera's three-act opera is based on the famous French play of the same name written by Edward Rostand. The audience is compelled to experience the love, joy, loss and heartbreak of this epic one-sided love story of Cyrano and his distant cousin, Roxanne, as the self-conscious Cyrano copes with his insecurities. This adaptation mostly stays true to the original play, with just a few minor differences.
