Nexen Heroes was officially established in 2008 under the name of Wuri Heroes, but the team proclaimed that they succeeded to Hyundai Unicorns which was once the best team in the early 2000s. Contrary to other professional baseball teams in Korean Baseball League, this team is not run by the parent company, but the team runs itself by making profits through commercials and ticketing. Although Nexen Heroes has not reenacted the glory of Hyundai Unicorns yet staying at low ranks in the pennant league, the team is gradually advancing for the best moment.
