Founded in 1961, the Swiss basketball club Fribourg Olympic Basket has won several national level championships throughout its career ever since its first win in 1966. The club competes in the Swiss Basketball League commonly known as the SBL. The club has also won the Swiss Cup and the Swiss League Cup several times. Prominently known as Fribourg Olympic the club hosts matches at the Salle Saint-Léonard.
