About
Avispa Fukuoka is one of the competitors in the J2 League, which is the second-tier football competition in Japan. It became a part of the game in 1982 and made achievements like winning the J2 League, Japan Football League Division 2, Shakaijin Cup and more. The team was founded as Fujieda Blux and Fujieda in Shizuoka was its home, but it shifted base in 1994. Today, it is based in Hakata, a ward in the city of Fukuoka and it plays its home games at the Best Denki Stadium.
