Alesana

About

Though members of the hardcore band Alesana first started playing together in Baltimore in the late 1990s, the group wasn't officially founded until 2004 in Raleigh, North Carolina. The group released its debut album, On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax, in 2006 and the LP managed to become a recognized hit with emo and screamo audiences in the United States. Employing a unique approach to lyrical content, Alesana fills its songs with references to literary influences, including Greek myth and the Brothers Grimm.
