About
Founded in 1994, FC Amkar Perm is a Russian football club that competes in the Russian Amateur Football League. Based in Perm, It hosts its opponents at the Perm Velikaya Manege. The club’s greatest achievement came in 2003 when it won the Russian National Football League for the first time. It also reached the finals of the Russian Cup in 2008 but were defeated by CSKA Moscow in an enthralling contest which was ultimately decided by a penalty shootout. Notable alumni include Vladimir Gabulov, Aleksei Popov and Konstantin Paramonov.
