About
Varzim Sport Club is a professional football club that features in the LigaPro. Established in 1915, it has most notably won the Segunda Divisão crown on multiple occasions and has also clinched the Liga Intercalar and the Portuguese Third Division trophies. It represents the city of Póvoa de Varzim and uses the Estádio do Varzim Sport Club, as its home ground. The club is renowned for its youth academy which has produced international football icons such as Hélder Postiga, Bruno Alves and António Lima Pereira.
