Leixões S.C. usually referred to as Leixões is a Portuguese football club that plays in the LigaPro. Based in Matosinhos, it plays its home matches at the Estádio do Mar and has won top honors such as the Taça de Portugal, LigaPro and the Segunda Divisão. It was established in 1907 and is known as “Heróis do Mar” affectionately by its fans. Álvaro Magalhães, Frederico Rosa and Filipe Oliveira are a few notable Portuguese players to have featured in this squad.
