Portugal’s second city of Porto has a tremendous amount of football clubs that play in the Primeira Liga. Arouca is one of the youngest teams in the league however, as it was established in 1951. The team has spent many seasons within the Aveiro regional leagues, but in 2006 it managed to reach the Terceira Divisão (Third Division) and in 2012 it was promoted to the Primeira Liga. Arouca plays its games at the Estádio Municipal de Arouca which has a capacity of 5,000.
