About
The Contenders are a two-piece band whose music is a mix of country, folk, and rock & roll. The group was formed in 2013 by singer-songwriter Jay Nash when after the end of a tour, he decided to write songs inspired by his musical heroes. Drummer Josh Day and Nash then decided to form The Contenders. Their first full-length album was released in 2017 by the independent label Rock Ridge Music.
