About
Established in 1945, Lechia Gdańsk is a football club that features in the Ekstraklasa and schedules its home matches at the Stadion Energa Gdańsk. It derives the name “Lechia” from the mythological name for Poland and is one of the clubs with the biggest fan base in the country. It has won honors such as the Polish Cup and the Polish Supercup and has achieved third place in the Ekstraklasa twice in its history. Notable alumni include Robert Gronowski, Sławomir Peszko and Sebastian Mila.
