While most modern singer/songwriters have masks firmly planted to protect themselves from truly exposing themselves and communicating with listeners, neo soul singer Ari Lennox has defined herself with a mask-off approach, letting people into her world and showing an inner beauty that is a rare commodity on today's music scene. Hailing from Washington, D.C., Lennox started self-releasing her own material in 2012 and in 2019 she released her debut album, Shea Butter Baby on J. Cole's Dreamville Records.
