Based in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Saski Baskonia is one of the most successful basketball clubs in Spain. Founded in 1959, it is one of the strongest competitors of the Liga ACB. Winners of several prominent titles, it trophy cabinet includes a collection of Spanish League, Spanish Cup and Spanish Supercup medals. While the team is yet to claim a EuroLeague gold, it is still considered as one of the strongest teams, having been runners on more than one occassion.
