About
Halifax Mooseheads is the brainchild of Harold MacKay of Moosehead Brewery who felt that Halifax had the potential to house a junior ice hockey club. The Halifax Mooseheads played its first game in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in 1994 where it stood sixth. Since then the team has won the President's Cup and the Memorial Cup in 2013.
