Sporting Cristal

Sporting Cristal is one of the most extraordinary football clubs in Peru. It is based in the Rímac district and was founded in 1955. Just a year after its formation, it started competing in the Primera División and has never been relegated. This alone is an exceptional feat which has been achieved by very few clubs. In 1956, it became the titleholder for the first time and by 2018, it had won the honor a total of 19 times. The club uses the Estadio Alberto Gallardo as its home ground.
