About
Alianza Atlético is a football club based in Sullana, a city in Peru. It was founded in 1920 and has spent a major chunk of its history playing in the Ligas Distritales del Peru. It established itself as one of the league's strongest contestants by winning the league title numerous times. In 1986, it stepped on a new frontier, the Peruvian Primera División. The club stayed in the top league for many years. Winning the Liga Departamental de Piura is seen as one of the club’s major achievements. It is one of the competitors in the Liga 2 and uses the Estadio Melanio Coloma as its home ground.
