Pro Vercelli

Pro Vercelli was founded in 1892 and was quite successful in its initial years. The club won about seven Italian football championships in the first quarter of the 20th century itself. But the winning streak came to an end when the team was relegated from Serie A after the 1934-35 season. It was soon demoted from Serie B too. After that, the club mostly kept fluctuating between Serie C and Serie D. The early 200s brought some financial issues for the club which soon got over. The club made a historic return to Serie B after the 2011-12 season. Unfortunately, the 2017-18 season came with another demotion to Serie C.
