FC Zorya Lugansk is one of the football teams that competes in Ukrainian Premier League. The city of Luhansk in Ukraine is the team’s home and the Slavutych-Arena in Zaporizhia is its home ground. The team was originally founded in 1923, but its current iteration took shape in 1964. Just a few years later, in 1972, it created history by winning the Soviet Top League. Its other milestones include winning the Soviet First League, the Soviet Second League and few other major competitions. Many stalwart players such as Yuriy Yeliseyev, Anatoliy Kuksov and Viktor Kuznetsov have played for this team.
