Molde Fotballklubb is one of the strongest football clubs in Norway. It has attained this reputation for its breathtaking performances in the Eliteserien league which has made it the league’s title holder many times. The club was founded in 1911 in the municipality of Molde. It was initially named “International,” but this was later changed to its current name in 1915. It started to gain popularity in the 1970s, as it began competing in the higher leagues. It won its first Norwegian Cup in 1994 and by 2014, it had added three more to its name. Many great players like Magne Hoseth, Vegard Forren and Magnus Wolff Eikrem have played for Molde. The club competes in the Eliteserien league and uses the Aker Stadion as its home ground.
