Jim Black

Jim Black is a drummer from Seattle who has distinguished himself as one of the leading American jazz drummers of his generation. After attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music, in 2000 Black would found the group AlasNoAxis, a group that blends together post-rock musical sensibilities with jazz-leaning songwriting structures. Having since played with a who's who of the modern jazz community, has continued to release albums at a regular rate in addition to maintaining a busy touring regime.
