About

Overcoats is a duo that is known for its eclectic style of eletropop music. Hana Elion and JJ Mitchell met during their student years at the Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. Their friendship developed over their mutual love of music and appreciation for each other's singing abilities. Having lived in different cities of the world, Elion and Mitchell's taste in music is varied and this reflects in the music they create as the Overcoats. The duo's music extends beyond electronic beats and incorporates other genres such as country, pop, folk, bluegrass and dance music as well. Overcoats released its self-titled EP in 2015, followed by its first album, Young, in 2017.
