The Band is a musical theater production that features the music of Brit Pop group Take That. Written by Tim Firth, the show was cast through a 2017 televised talent show called Let It Shine, on BBC. The resulting boy band Five to Five, plays a fictional band in the production that takes on several different guises. Bringing Take That songs to life, the band provides the soundtrack to the lives of a group of women, who start out as teenagers in the first act and embark on a coming-of-age journey throughout the show.
