About
Ards is a semi-professional football club which is one of the 12 competitors that go head-to-head against each other to win the NIFL Championship title. It was founded in 1900 in the Irish town of Newtownards. But its home ground, Clandeboye Park, is situated in the town of Bangor. It tasted victory for the first time when it won the Irish Cup 1927. The club then went on to build a commendable track record at the top of which sits its Irish League title.
