FSV Zwickau is a German football club that represents Zwickau in the 3. Liga - the third division in the country. It was founded in 1912 under the name Fußball-Club Planitz and went through numerous name-changes before adopting its current name. The current club's rich history involves sides that won a number of tournaments - the Soviet Zone Championship, DDR-Oberliga, FDGB-Pokal and Gauliga Sachsen - before the reunification of Germany. It has produced numerous notable players like Jürgen Croy, Dwayne De Rosario and Olegs Karavajevs.
