About
Based in the city of Almere in the Netherlands, Almere City FC is of the competitors in the Eerste Divisie. Although the club was founded in 2001, its roots can be traced back to 1976. It was originally named, FC Omniworld, it was changed to its current name in 2010. It first became a part of the Eerste Divisie in 2005 and has maintained its position in the league ever since. It uses the Yanmar Stadion as its home ground.
