Overmono is a Welsh electronic music duo comprised of brothers Tom and Ed Russell, celebrated for their groundbreaking contributions to the electronic music landscape. Prior to their collaboration, both siblings embarked on individual musical paths: Tom, under the alias Truss, focused on hard techno, while Ed, known as Tessela, gained recognition for his drum and bass hits, including "Hackney Parrot." The duo briefly united as TR/ER in 2012 before officially establishing Overmono in 2015. Their inaugural EP, Arla, was released in 2016 through XL Recordings, signifying the commencement of their collaborative musical venture. In 2023, they unveiled their highly praised debut album, Good Lies, which achieved a peak position of number 11 on the UK Albums Chart. Overmono has garnered acclaim for their dynamic live performances, earning the title of 'UK's Best Live Act' at DJ Mag's Best of British awards in 2021. Their body of work encompasses numerous EPs, singles, and collaborations, reflecting their unique fusion of electronic and bass music styles.
