While american football might not be the most popular sport in Germany, clubs like Wiesbaden Phantoms prove that other sports too can survive in a soccer-crazy world. The Wiesbaden-based club plies its trade in the second tier league - German Football League 2. While the club has consistently been a mid-table performer in the league, its greatest achievement was securing promotion to the first division in 2010. However its stint at the top level was only to last three seasons as it was relegated 2013.
