One of the jewels of the USL, Phoenix Rising FC has been a dominant force since it was rebranded in 2017. Founded in 2014 as the Arizona United Soccer Club, a change in the team name and image also came with a change in the approach of the game. One of the dominant forces in the league, big name players such as Didier Drogba and Shaun Wright-Phillips have once donned the jersey of this club. The team is also followed by some of the most passionate fans, who show up in large numbers to support their team at the Casino Arizona Field.
