Founded in 1944, Club de Fútbol Puebla is a professional football team that competes in Liga MX, Mexico's premiere domestic league. Nicknamed Los Camoteros (The Sweet Potato Growers), the club is based out of Puebla, where it competes at its home stadium, Estadio Cuauhtémoc. Puebla won its first Primera División championship at the conclusion of the 1982-1983 season.
