About
The Front Page is a comedy - written by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur - about the lives of beat reporters. It was first presented in 1928 at the Times Square Theater in New York City. Set in a drab print shop, it follows the lives of reporters keeping themselves entertained with jokes and poker, waiting to witness something that will stir things up. Numerous runs, re-stagings and multiple screen adaptations have earned this play a cult-classic status.
