Mike Gibney built a solid career as a sound engineer and tour manager before deciding he wanted to set off on his own and release material he had been working on. Going on to release his debut album, Above Water, in 2016 under his Gibbz moniker, the unique songs Gibbz crafted prove the talented musician's production strengths and pop sensibilities. Having since kept busy, releasing additional well-received material and maintaining a regular touring schedule, Gibbz has also collaborated with musical peers like Big Gigantic, Gramatik and Saint Motel.
