About
Melaka United is one of the twelve teams that compete for the honor of Malaysia Super League title. The club was formed in 1924 as Malacca and donned its current name in 2013. It made its first massive achievement in 1983, when it won the Liga Super title. Its roster has been graced by many skilled players such as Ilija Spasojević, Norizam Ali Hassan and Emir Dzafic. It is based in Malacca city and uses the Hang Jebat Stadium for its home matches.
