John 5 is a heavy metal guitarist that is well-known for playing with David Lee Roth and Rob Zombie, though he adopted his stage name when he joined Marilyn Manson. While he's built a reputation as an ardent lead guitarist with a distinctive blend of industrial rock and alternative metal, he's also released several solo guitar albums. On each of his own records, from his 2004 debut Vertigo to 2014's Careful With That Axe, he's pushed the limits of instrumental rock, despite what trends currently rule the music scene.
