Kashima Antlers is a Japanese football club that represents the city of Kashima in Ibaraki, Greater Tokyo Area. Formed in 1947 as Sumitomo Metal Industries Factory F.C. it rebranded itself as the Kashima Antlers after the formation of a new professional league. It has since produced many talented players such as Atsuto Uchida, Masashi Motoyama, Hiroki Abe and many more. With multiple domestic league titles and international tournament wins to its name, it is one of the most successful Japanese clubs to date. It plays its home games at the Kashima Soccer Stadium.
