About
Aziza Brahim is a singer/songwriter from the Western Sahara. Born in a refugee camp in the Tindouf region of Algeria, Brahi grew up amid severe conditions in desert camps and discovered music as a way to express her emotions. Creating music called Sahrawi, that is representative of Western Sahara folk music, Brahim released her debut EP, Mi Canto, in 2008 and since then, she has remained active, releasing additional material and touring internationally.
