Born and raised in Philadelphia, Japanese Breakfast is the solo project of Michelle Zauner who plays pop music with dark lyrics and soothing melodies. Zauner started making music in 2013 and dropped her first full album in 2016, titled Psychopomp. With lead singles "The Woman That Loves You" and "In Heaven," the album contains music from a six year span of writing.
