The Italian football club, Novara Calcio, was founded in 1908 by a group of enthusiastic teenagers and it debuted in the Italian league in 1912. During the years before 1945, it merged with two other clubs, Casale and Pro Vercelli, which further added to its strength. Its career, which stretches beyond hundred years, is built of many memorable performances in the top-three tiers of Italian football and achievements such as winning the Prima Divisione title. The country’s legendary player, Silvio Piola, played for this club.
