Steve Miller is a singer/songwriter and guitarist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin who rose to prominence in the 1970s with a string of popular singles. Initially emerging with a hard lined blues rock sound, Miller would release his debut album, Children of the Future, in 1968. Eventually incorporating a listener friendly pop style, Miller would achieve widespread attention with his massively popular LP The Joker in 1973.
